How to Secure Your Salvation

II Peter 1:3 reads, in part, “His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness.” Peter then, in the verses that follow, goes on to tell us to add several things to our faith, traits that we must blend together in our lives like parts of music in an ensemble, so that they all work together to make us the kind of people God wants us to be. When we blend these traits together in our lives and abound in them, Peter has assured us that God grants us abundant entrance into His kingdom (II Peter 1:11).
