Are Christians to Judge Others?

When a Christian is critical of someone’s behavior, he or she frequently hears the rebuke, “Judge not!” Nevertheless you may be surprised to find out that Christians are not only expected to judge, but Jesus Himself even commanded it! How can the One who said, “Judge not” (Matthew 7:1) also have said, “Judge with righteous judgment” (John 7:24)?
