The prophet Nahum is unusual (though not unique) among the prophets: Most prophets of the Old Testament prophesied to Israel or Judah. Nahum prophesied exclusively to another nation, Assyria, upon whom God was ready to execute judgment. What can we learn about a prophecy that is not only not spoken to us, but not even spoken to the people of God who were our spiritual heritage?
