Daniel was a young man in a foreign land pressured to compromise in the face of temptation, but even at his age, he stood firm. At the same time, when he dealt with his captors, he was not haughty and self-righteous. He was meek but never wavered in his faithfulness. We are like Daniel: Living in a world that is not our home, daily balancing meekness without compromise and steadfastness without condescension.
