Remember Your Creator in the Days of Your Youth

Why did Solomon, and therefore why do we urge youths, “Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth”? Because it is the time in life when one possesses the most energy to apply oneself to the service of God and when one is most capable of soaking in His teachings and setting one's life on the right course, before one has the opportunity to make too many mistakes and let bad habits set it. But it is also one of the most dangerous times in life, a time when the guidance of the Creator is a set of guard rails that keeps one from making disastrous decisions from which one may never recover.
