Embracing Change without Drifting

To the Corinthians, Paul wrote, “I have become all things to all men,” and, “to those who are without law, as without law (not being without law toward God, but under law toward Christ).” For what purpose? “That I might by all means save some” (I Corinthians 9:21, 22). Likewise, if it means we can save souls, we must be willing to go to the same lengths while striking the same balance: Adapt our worship services and our teaching techniques, even the rhythm of our lives, to our surroundings to the extent that we can, but never, ever compromise our fidelity to God and the pattern of worship and living He has commanded.
