Ellipsis

We speak to each other in figures of speech. In scripture, the Holy Spirit likewise speaks to us in figures of speech. This lesson examines one of them: the ellipsis. Understanding the nature of the ellipsis is critical because failing to do so can lead to some serious errors, even conclusions that are the very opposite of what the Spirit intends to communicate.
