There has never been any age when genuine New Testament Christianity has not been under some form of attack. We fool ourselves if we think that Satan ever sleeps, that he is not always on the offensive. Consequently, Christians of every age must “sanctify the Lord God in [our] hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks [us] a reason for the hope that is in [us], with meekness and fear” (1 Peter 3:15).
