Manasseh reigned longer than any other king of the southern kingdom of Judah, and yet he was a captive the entire time: Captivated by heinous idolatry and sorcery, then taken captive, literally, by the Assyrians to Babylon, and finally captivated by the Lord in a profound change of heart and display of repentance.
