Holiness in a Hostile LandSeries: Purity · Holiness · Devotion
Daniel was a young man taken from his home and his life of relative privilege and was made to serve in the courts of the kings of the Babylonians and of the Medes and the Persians. He could have made many excuses for why he might have been unfaithful to God, and he, no doubt, had many opportunities to indulge in the pleasures of sin for a season. And yet he did not. Daniel, therefore, stands as one of the finest and most consistent examples of godliness in the whole Bible.
