The Rest of Psalm 42

We sing about the soul longing for God the way the deer pants for water, the image that Psalm 42 paints in its opening verses. But that is about as much as most of us know abut Psalm 42. It goes on to record the struggle of a soul who knows intellectually that God has not abandoned him but nevertheless feels the creeping doubt that He may have.
