El Roi – The God Who Sees

Hagar gave God a name: El Roi. El Roi means “the God who sees.” The idea of seeing occurs throughout the story of Abraham. For instance, God sees what is happening to people. He also causes people to see him and appreciate his promises. God provides for his people. God is still El Roi today. We (Christians) can draw strength in knowing that today God is still the God who sees.
