The majority of Americans believe that the universe is billions of years old. Many so-called Christians claim that God created the cosmos but that He did so billions of years ago and populated the earth via evolution. These “Christians” affirm that the Bible supports such an interpretation. Does Genesis 1 teach billions of years? This study examines what the Bible says about the first day of creation and the age of the earth.
