Do Not Sloganize the Gospel

When we or somone close to us is going through a tough time, we often go to Scriptures for comfort and to strengthen our faith. And that is as it should be. We just need to be careful not to take passages out of context and manufacture a message that God did not intend to communicate. Otherwise, instead of offering comfort and strengthening faith, we may end up undermining faith or giving someone false hope.
