Making Marriages Last

Two gold wedding bandsHow do we make our marriages last? Not simply endured, for there are many who see their spouse or their marriage as something to be endured. Rather we want—and God wants us to have—marriages that are a blessing, as the proverb states, “He who finds a wife finds a good thing …” (Proverbs 18:22). God’s word tells us how to make a marriage lasting and blessed, as we explore in this series of five lessons:

  1. How Can We Have Lasting Marriages? Part 1
  2. How Can We Have Lasting Marriages? Part 2
  3. How Can We Have Lasting Marriages? Part 3
  4. How Can We Have Lasting Marriages? Part 4
  5. How Can We Have Lasting Marriages? Part 5

Radical Restoration, or Just Radical?

The cover of F. Lagard Smith's "Radical Restoration" and a snapshot of a handful of individuals gathered together as a church in the den of someone's house Have you ever heard someone speak critically of “house churches” and wondered how anyone could object to a church meeting in someone's house? The concern, of course, is not about the meeting place, but the type of meeting itself. Some, in their attacks on what they believe to be nothing more than human traditions, have sought to alter radically the worship and organization of the local church. We urge you to consider thoughtfully these lessons, which examine these teachings in light of the New Testament.

  1. House Churches and Radical Restoration, Part 1
  2. House Churches and Radical Restoration, Part 2
  3. House Churches and Radical Restoration, Part 3
  4. House Churches and Radical Restoration, Part 4
  5. House Churches and Radical Restoration, Part 5
